Three New Budget Hotels In Makkah & Medina that Won’t Break the Bank- Ibis Styles, Pullman, M by Millennium

I have said it many times over but I am super excited about the new hotels coming up in Makkah. With the new Al Abraj complex, the Jabal Omar development there are so many new properties that will keep coming up in the area.

Yes, not every one of them will be walking distance from Haram Mosque as there is no much space but there will be a shuttle away. However, this is still good news!

The current budget properties in Makkah are very old and they definitely don’t match any Western 3 star standards. The new hotel options, however, are new, stylish and definitely an improvement.

In my opinion, some of these will actually be better than some of the older 4-star properties near the Haram.

With prices during Ramadan going for around £1,000+ a night these hotel options might be further away but are welcomed for those on small budgets.

Even this year during Ramadan you can find some great bargains at competitive prices.

Here are the 3 newcomers that will make your Umrah more affordable:

M Hotel Makkah by Millennium

This is a new four-star property about 2,5km away from Masjid al-Haram. You have a free shuttle to take you there 24hrs. The rooms look nice and stylish.

Since this is a new hotel you can expect nice decor and just a place to relax after a long day.

The benefit of this hotel is the fact that although five star and brand new because it is further out it, is much cheaper than the similar standard properties in the Haram vicinity.

A room per night at the beginning of Ramadan costs as little as £112 compare to other others costing over £300.

During the non-busy period, you can find them for almost bargain prices. Some dates during May cost around £50 a night!

Ibis Style Makkah

This is a brand new hotel will open in June 2017. It is about 15minutes from the Haram or approximately 2km and of course, they offer a free shuttle bus.

Ibis styles are the new Accorhotels budget brand and from the photos, I really like their colours, clean lines, and minimalism. Definitely a nice addition to the Makkah hotel scene.

I have stayed in a few of the newly branded Ibis Style hotels and they are a great no frill but a cheap option.

Prices for Ramadan start at £144 which is still steep for a 3-star hotel but I guess it’s Ramadan.

One thing to note about the Accorhotels is that they have generous promotions and also cashback. You can get up to 10% cashback via TopCashbakc on their properties.

Pullman Zamzam Hotel Medina

I don’t cover many hotel options in Medina and the reason being is that they are always much lower prices. Even during Ramadan, you can still find some great deals.

The new Pullman hotel which is also a part of the Accorhotels brand has been open for a few months now and the reviews on Tripadvisor and from people who have stayed is great.

It is close to the Prophets mosque and as a new hotel, the decor and amenities are also good.

During Ramadan, the rooms cost about £112, which is a bargain for a new hotel. You can find great deals on them from as little as £80 a night during the non-peak season as well.

There you have it 3 hotels that offer great amenities, new decor, earns you good cashback and it is a good price too. I can’t wait to see how Makkah transforms over the years. Even since I started this blog it has been a great journey on so many levels.

As-salāmu ʿalaykum,

I need your urgent help with ibis style Makkah hotel. I have booked a room for last 9 night of Ramadan. I had a good bargain from stayforlong. I do want to double check if my booking has actually taken place with the property as the reviews for stayforlong aren’t great. Do you have any contact number or suggestion how can I get to contact ibis style management as the number on the google is not answered by anyone at all. JazakAllah in advance.
