One of my most favourite ways to explore is by car. When we visited the USA we went to the Grand Canyon by car and to Las Vegas and California. Even when we got stopped by police, which was scary.
Some of these are pretty amazing and scary. I have been on the Atlas road trip and in some places I was scared. Although the view is magnificent. I enjoy driving around more since you can get a feel for the country and explore better than a high view of an airplane seat.
So I thought I will check out some more driving experiences for my bucket list and share them with you incase you fancy a short drive. 😉
Austria: Grossglockner High Alpine Road

A beautiful road that leads to the base of the tallest mountain in Austria, and one of the tallest peaks in the Alps. It is between the states of Salzburg and Carinthia, and it lets you feel closest to nature as you’ve been. The incredible landscapes, which will make terrific photos, is just another one of the cons. But, as amazing as it sounds, it has an entrance fee.
Morocco: Atlas Mountain Road

If you are thinking about a trip to Morocco, but you’re not sure which one of the amazing destinations to visit, the Atlas mountain road trip is the perfect solution for you. One hour from Marrakech you find the Atlas Mountain Range. Depending on where your road trip finishes, you can pass through destinations like the mountain Imlil village, stop to enjoy the views from Tizi n’Test Pass, pass by the city of Taroudant and many more.
Iceland : Ring Road

Probably the most beautiful, mesmerizing, breathtaking road trip anyone can take. Having in the mind the unconditional beauty of Iceland, imagine a road circling around the island! The diversity is unbelievable, as it offers volcanoes and icebergs, snowy and green landscapes, beautiful waterfalls and geysers, and of course the northern lights. It is totally worth it and if you really want to get the most out of this road trip you’re going to need at least 7 days!
Madagascar: Avenue of the Baobabs

If you are a fan of the Little Prince you will love this one! The most magnificent baobabs are located in Madagascar, a place perfect for honeymoons, are estimated to be more than 800 years old. The baobabs are lining the dirt road between Morondava and Belon’i Tsiribihina and is the most popular tourist attraction in the region.
Turkey : Izmir to Dalaman
Turkey is an extremely beautiful country, with big diversity – big cities and natural landscapes – what more can anyone ask? The turkish countryside is beautiful and starting from Izmir, you get to see places like the ancient Ephesus, the Kapikiri village and the whitewashed houses in Mugla. There are of course many more destinations you can visit throughout the country that could offer you the experience of a lifetime.
Italy: Costa Smeralda to Cagliari, Sardinia

Italy is a majestic country, so you can imagine what a road-trip in a place as beautiful as Italy could look like. Sun, sea, amazing landscapes, wild nature, clear air and friendly people. This particular road-trip could start from Cagliari, the largest city of the island and end in Costa Smeralda.
China: Guoliang Tunnel Road

Just by looking at the picture you get chills. Even though this isn’t exactly a road-trip, driving through this road could be exciting and a great rush of adrenaline. It is about 1.2 kilometers long, 4 meters wide and with a little “windows” which can help you enjoy the view at the maximum.
Australia: Great Ocean Road
Australia is not only a beautiful country, but also has one of the most stunning roads on earth. On the road you’ll meet small villages, rainforests, magnificent beaches which start from Torquay and at Allansford. You will definitely not regret for this road trip, as it will be the experience of a lifetime!
Italy: Amalfi Coast
Another one amazing road trip in Italy is the drive between Sorrento and Salerno. On the road you can enjoy tremendous views of mountain cliffs, beautiful sea, small villages and you’ll talk about that beauty for a long time!
