Hotel Offers You Should Pay Attention To & Save Some Money

share-your-offering-1

There are some very interesting offers that I think are great for those planning holidays during the school break or general winter holidays. Adding them all together can save you a decent amount of money.

TripAdvisor

TripAdvisor is offering £20 Amazon voucher for those who book directly via their site and spend £150 or more. For those who don’t know, TripAdvisor has the option to show you the cheapest hotel option like any aggregator but they also let you book on their site.

Sometimes I have found great hotel prices, provided you book on TripAdvisor. Even if you are booking one cheap 2 night stay for let’s say £100 a night you will still receive the £20 voucher.

The catch is you have to also review the hotel once you stay.

That shouldn’t be too difficult to do plus you will be helping another fellow traveler make the right hotel choice.

Details:

Book your hotel between 15 August 2016 and 3 October 2016 (minimum £150 spend before taxes and fees) onTripAdvisor.co.uk using a valid UK address. Be sure to complete your stay and submit your review by 14 November 2016. Once your review is published and we’ve confirmed your stay, we’ll email you the code worth £20 to use on Amazon.co.uk. One Amazon.co.uk Gift Card per person.

Accor Hotels

Another great hotel deal which I think you should take advantage of, if you can make the stays  is the Accor hotels 10,000 bonus promotion.

You have to stay 2 nights x 4 to earn 10,000 points, which is equal to 200 Euro’s, if used for hotel vouchers or 10,000 Avios points if transferred to Iberia and then British Airways.

To put this into perspective one way flight to Jeddah is 10,000 off peak and a return flight to Milan is 8,000 Avios with British Airways.

The bonus is accumulative and it works as below. If you can make even some of the double nights required you can end up with a saving.

your first two-night stay comes with 500 bonus points (€10 or 500 Avios)

your second two-night stay comes with 2,500 bonus points (€50 or 2,500 Avios)

your third two-night stay comes with 3,000 bonus points (€60 or 3,000 Avios)

your fourth two-night stay comes with 4,000 bonus points (€80 or 4,000 Avios)

Don’t forget you can also receive cashback on these hotel stays and even the Happy Monday promotion counts. If you are new to Topcashback they currently have a promotion for new sign ups where you get £5  if you sign up here.

SPG and Marriott Linking of Accounts

This must be one of the best deals for this weekend simply because I was lucky to have Gold status Starwood membership. I have a Gold SPG due to the fact that I had the Platinum Amex and it has stayed. I don’t use many SPG properties due to the fact that in the UK we don’t have many but also because the Gold status doesn’t offer anything impressive.

I do like my free breakfast and upgrades, what can I say. Funnily I have several nights in Dubai on SPG properties coming up during the Global Islamic Economy Summit where I am speaking. So topping this account up will be fun.

Anyways, since Marriott bought SPG they have offered their members mutual benefits on each level. What makes this interesting is the fact that with a Marriott Gold you actually get free breakfast and/or lounge access.

Link your accounts here.

The linking process is simple and straight forward, you put your SPG account and they match the status. It didn’t take more than a few seconds and I was Marriott Gold. Now I am booking few nights in Marriott properties in Dubai I wanted to check. Perfect!

Marriott also has the MegaBonus promotion running where you can choose 2 stays for 5,000 points or 10,000 points after 10 nights. Since I doubt I will be doing 10 nights I opted for the 2 stays and 5,000 points. I am more likely to do this and earn them. Marriott is also a new property in Makkah so if you are heading for Umrah it is one to consider albeit you need a bus to the Haram.

Saudi Airlines Promotion

You still have time to book your flights to Jeddah on up to 50% for Umrah. I have been made aware that Umrah visas will open on November the 1st, so booking anything after that should be ok. You can book flights with this deal up until the15th of December.

With flights starting from £350 London to Jeddah and $500 Chicago / New York / DC to Jeddah it’s a great deal for Umrah travellers.  You can also book flights to Medinah as they are the same price ( usually Medinah flights are more expensive).

If you want more saving on your Umrah then make sure you check out my new course here.
