KLM Promo Awards are here to stay and for me I started to pay attention to them more since the Avios devaluation. Here you can read my 5 reasons why I think KLM can be good especially for those living in the North.
Usually KLM releases their promotion from the 1st of each month until the end of that month for travel in the following couple of months. However many times they are released a day earlier which gives us a nice sneak peek to what to expect. Today they updated some of their routes and there are interesting finds. Note that the previous routes are still live and you only have TODAY to book them if you want.
This month the flights are available for travel during June and July, which takes into consideration the month of Ramadan. The ones that stand out for me the most are Dubai, which seems to be a classic route for 10,000 points, then Doha and Muscat for 15,000 points one way. Oman is a beautiful country and I would totally recommend for you to pay a visit, since you won’t be disappointed. You can read my review of Oman here.
Note Riyadh for Umrah is not possible so it is a dead end route for us unfortunately, for Umrah you have to enter through only Jeddah, Medina, and Yanbul.
I always look only in the economy offer since I don’t think the KLM business class is worth the points, but economy does have some bargain options.
The other choice I personally really liked this month is St Martin. Never been to the Caribbean but I can happily check it out for 25,000points return and some sunshine. Makes a perfect celebratory Eid escape. 🙂
North America did have some choices however they are all in premium economy or business so in my humble opinion not worth it, especially Boston. If you have some Amex points then you can still transfer them to Avios and book the Dublin to Boston route for 25,000return until the end of April.
